In this interactive class, learn and practice creating a concept for your book, planning the contents, and understanding and forming that all-important opening. Register online. Tickets at the door while space allows.
We'll review the idea of a book concept then create one for your work in progress or a future project. We'll spend a few minutes talking about planning (plotting, outlining, whatever you call it) and then spend some time practicing that process.
Finally, learn the importance of your book's opening - line, paragraph, chapter. After spending time working on our projects, we'll share and get feedback from each other.
That's it. By the end of the workshop, you will have the beginnings of a manuscript.
Bring to class: laptop and/or paper and pen/pencil; brown bag lunch and beverage permitted. Snacks and bottled water provided.
